So you want to play backups on a ps2

On the playstation 2, there are 3 ways to play your backups. Only one doesn't void your warranty. You could install a mod chip or use the "disk swapping" technique. Both of these techniques require that you open you ps2 (voiding the warranty).

The third technique is to use a memory card with a usb input. This will allow you to:

play backups
backup//restore your game saves
not void your warranty

As this technique is software, it can be easily updated as game formats change. Mod chips can't. To order a memory card, click the title of this post. To get the software, either visit the manufacturers site or download it from here. If you receive an error from the memor32 savegame manager, download the appropriate driver for your operating system here.
